Dr. Fleischer is the Medical Director of a multi-level clinical team of Mental Health providers based in Fort Washington. He is certified in both Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Fleischer is on the Medical Staff at Abington Hospital-Jefferson Health and Chestnut Hill Hospital, and is a consultant at many nursing homes, and assisted living facilities in the Philadelphia area. He received his medical degree from Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, where he also completed his internship and residency in Psychiatry and served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Fleischer is certified as an NEI Master Psychopharmacologist by the Neuroscience Education Institute. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry & Human Behavior at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. In addition, he has served as a Clinical Preceptor for Drexel University’s College of Nursing Master’s Program.
Dr. Fleischer is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (DLFAPA) and is a member of several additional professional organizations, including the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Society, where he served as the federal legislative representative, the Pennsylvania Medical Society where he served in the House of Delegates, and the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry. Dr. Fleischer has lectured extensively on dementia, depression, and problem behaviors in geriatric patients. Dr Fleischer’s practice focuses on the psychopharmacology and psychotherapy of Adult and Geriatric patients in outpatient and longterm care settings.
