
Dr. Scott A. Fleischer serves as Medical Director of a multi-level clinical team of mental health providers based in Fort Washington, PA. He is board-certified in both Adult Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is licensed by the National Board of Medical Examiners, with active medical licenses in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Dr. Fleischer is committed to delivering compassionate, individualized care and has extensive experience treating depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and complex psychiatric conditions. He has been a leader in integrating Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Therapy into clinical practice, offering patients a non-invasive, FDA-cleared treatment option for depression when medications alone have not provided sufficient relief. Under his direction, TMS is thoughtfully incorporated into comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
He is a member of the Medical Staff at Abington Hospital–Jefferson Health and Chestnut Hill Hospital and serves as a psychiatric consultant to numerous nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout the Philadelphia region. Dr. Fleischer earned his medical degree from Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, where he completed his internship and residency in Psychiatry and served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Fleischer is certified as an NEI Master Psychopharmacologist by the Neuroscience Education Institute. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry & Human Behavior at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. In addition, he has served as a Clinical Preceptor for Drexel University’s College of Nursing Master’s Program.
Dr. Fleischer is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (DLFAPA) and is a member of several additional professional organizations, including the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Society, where he served as the federal legislative representative, the Pennsylvania Medical Society where he served in the House of Delegates, and the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry. Dr. Fleischer has lectured extensively on dementia, depression, and problem behaviors in geriatric patients. Dr Fleischer’s practice focuses on the psychopharmacology and psychotherapy of Adult and Geriatric patients in outpatient and longterm care settings.
